Last week’s Cherry Bomb caused quite a stir, so I decided to add a little twist on it in today’s Monday’s Mojo!
We live in a ‘me, too!’ world. From the time we are born, we emulate others in order to make a connection with the world and learn right from wrong.
But as we get in our teens, we all test that conformity. Become a rebel, if you will. We like it. But soon realize that being a rebel can hurt us too. Instead of being a rebel, you feel more like an outsider.
The same can happen with our business. So we go back to conforming. Doing things just like everyone else.
So let me ask you: how does THAT feel? Being like every other person in your niche?
If you don’t like it, your conformity is probably hurting your business profits.
Why? Because when you are cookie-cutter, your ideal clients can’t find you ( and believe me, they are searching for you!) People hire people to help them, so you need to show that you are a person, not a brand or what others say you ‘should’ be.
So embrace… you. Share your warts and all. It’s ok. Not only will you feel better, so will your clients!
Oscar Wilde once said, “Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.”
