The main goal of any business is to grow. And no matter what the business, growth usually means that there are not enough hours in the day to accomplish everything that needs to get done. That is where outsourcing can help leverage your time more effectively.
Outsourcing doesn’t just pertain to big companies that want to move overseas to save money. Online businesses need the same type of help as well. When you are solopreneur, there never seems to be enough time to give the proper attention to each aspect of your business. In no time at all, things can get out of hand and you might find yourself drowning.
However, if you are worried that outsourcing will cost you a lot of money, think again. Although I believe that you should pay people what they are worth, there are some ways to get help inexpensively or even free.
One of the things I highlight in my Tweak it and Profit program is that the key to finding these people is think creatively:
- family members – After all your business is your family’s business right? Give them some simple tasks to do based on their skill set. For example, I have my 5 year old twins lick envelopes and put stamps on.
- mentor – There are probably several people who would love to learn from you behind the scenes. In return you could assign them some of the tasks you normally do.
- barter – You want something they have. They want something you have. Bartering can work as long as what each person is receiving is equal.
- interns – This is my favorite way to get the jobs done. Find a college student who wants to learn more, and give them a project to do with your supervision.
