Most forget the offline world. And even when offline content is included in the marketing plan, many forget some basic requirements to obtain the maximum benefits.
Here are the four things all written content must have to help you to make a profit.
1) Keywords and Keyword Phrases.
Think about how you search for information online. You usually go to a search engine, such as Google or Yahoo!, and type in the keywords you are looking for (e.g. Toyota Camry, Meningitis, Tax Lawyer, or anything you want.)
The important thing is that your content has the keywords that are related to how you help others by doing what you do or the product you sell. For example, if provide parent coaching, your content needs to be about the problems parents face raising their kids.
2) Keyword Density.
Keyword density is the number of times a keyword or keyword phrase is used. Know that you have your keywords and keyword phrases, you must use them fully. Your content should at least have ten percent of keyword density for search engines to rank a site high in their search results.
3) It needs to read well.
As important as keywords and keyword density is, you cannot just riddle content with keywords. After all, if it doesn’t make sense with the keywords, it’s not going to be read. (And that won’t convert readers into customers.)
4) A call to action.
And another important thing to remember: no matter what you compose, you need to tell people what you want them to do after they’ve read it. It could be visiting your website or a sales page, leaving a comment on your blog or even buying your product or service.
